Why More Startups Don’t Mean Better Ideas: The AI Era Reality Check
The speed at which products, companies, and startups are emerging is off the charts — in absolute numbers. But in relative terms? Nothing has changed. Still, for every 10 ideas or products, only one is actually worth something.
You know who understands this better than anyone? Investors. The number of founders walking in with a “brilliant” idea has grown tenfold. Only now, alongside the classic pitch — “I’m sure this will work” — there’s a new one: “ChatGPT said it’s genius.”
Do you notice this in yourself or your partners? I know I do. I recently went through my folder of brilliant ideas and buried about 20 of them on the spot. Rest in peace.
